Microelectronics Talent Development Program Objectives

The objectives of our Workforce pillar include:

Launch Industry Partnerships via the building of a membership model, co-design workshops, and activation and engagement meetings via the FuzeHub network of MEPs.

Build capacity of training partners by assessing current curriculum offerings and then advising on how to make them more relevant for defense manufacturers.

Partner with Micron, Syracuse University, and CenterState CEO to convene the Future-Ready Workforce Innovation Consortium.

Pilot CenterState CEO’s High-Tech Bridge Program (“Bridge”), designed to assist un/underemployed, underrepresented individuals explore high-tech careers and build skills that will ready them for participation in industry-specific training.

Pilot CenterState CEO’s Syracuse Surge Advanced Manufacturing Defense workforce training program.

Use Co-Design workshops to plan regional career outreach and exploration. Place 5 training/STEM program graduates in 3 companies, of a 25% diverse population, from the UpState Defense tailored Griffiss STEM programs.

The results will be establishment and exposure of training pipelines for in-demand defense careers and new career exposure opportunities for traditionally underrepresented groups.
